Once a choir girl, Sabrina Maria was led away from her musical roots by the circumstances of the corporate fast-paced work life which held no room for music. It wasn't until she found herself in the eye of a storm, dealing with her her father's genetic ailment and sudden death, her mother's long-term illness and death not long afterwards, a sudden relationship break-up, and the loss of a long-held job, that she sought comfort in an old friend - her neglected guitar.
Cleaning her abandoned guitar of dust, Sabrina reconnected with the melodies of her youth. Each chord became a balm to her hurting soul, a language that could articulate her profound emotions. This led to writing her own songs.
By December 2016, Sabrina transformed her anguish into a beacon of hope, an album of heartfelt songs, just three months after her mother's passing. Music became her refuge, a healing platform to express emotions too deep for words. How many times have you found solace in something unexpected during challenging times?
As she immersed herself in the comforting words of Country Music, she also found strength in the invigorating spirit of Rock. Her debut album, ‘Blank Canvas,’ is a testament to this journey, offering a blend of inspiring and powerful emotions.
In recent times, Sabrina has devoted her creativity to crafting songs for The Lord, as she believes His unwavering presence guided her through life's storms.
In Sabrina’s own words, "Life may toss us into rough seas, but we can transform these trials into expressions of our true selves. My truth lies in music and my deep-rooted faith. We each have a gift, a truth, which we must nurture. Ignoring it may lead life to shake us awake, by removing our distractions."
